Inner journey of thoughts: positivity and negativity.

The mind is constantly working, it is never silent and is constantly flowing full of thoughts. To improve your character you need to be more aware of your thought processes and determine where your negativity lies so you can be more positive. In a way the quality of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts because if you are pessimistic, you are less likely to change the things you dislike. Our thoughts are linked to our emotions and if you’re gloomy, sad, angry, depressed etc then this is not the frame of mind that motivates change.

We all feel a bit down from time to time so think about in the past have you ever been in a bad situation where you had to set aside your feelings however painful and just take action and deal with an issue. It is not always an easy thing to do but the important thing to remember is that indulging in negativity will only inflict more of the bad. To create change in your life you need to think about how to deal with bad situation and general negativity. Taking a step back and clearing your mind is always a good first step. You can train your mind into being more attuned to positive thinking just by forcing yourself to becoming more consciously aware of your thought processes and whether you are instinctively positive or negative.

You can also give yourself a little nudge in the right direction just by surrounding yourself with things that inspire you. An easy example of this is finding positive quotes, people often print them out and create posters for their bedrooms/ offices etc just because they instigate that little spark that sets in motion positive thoughts, ideas and feelings that lead to motivation.

Why not share your favourite positive quote with us on our blog, in the mean time try out the following test which will reveal to you if you are a positive or negative thinker.
